While I can't feel happy for Jason Negro or his senior transfer WR, credit to him and his staff for making the necessary adjustments in the 2nd half.
I will be shocked if we don't see rematch #5 in next year's final.

What happened here? Did he have a medical event?

That was a helluva game last night. I'll bet you'll have to go back a very, very long way to find the last time someone reeled off 34 straight points on the monarchs.
Playmakers all over the place, and definitely a couple notches above high school football. They really belong on a national stage with similar competition.

last night was a glorious moment. The crowd was electric. Running out onto the field, putting moves to avoid security, got me amped up and relived the old days. I still got it.
Onto state.....

MD scored first in 1982, and then gave up 42 straight to lose 42-7 to the Steve Beuerlein led Friars. It's possible the Friars did it again in 1986, (44-12), but I don't remember how many of those 44 points were consecutive.

Has it happened during the Rollinson era?

Bosco certainly had the passion and wanted it more than the Monarchs in the 2nd half. Perhaps winning the past two CIF titles sapped the hunger from Mater Dei.

But those teams from "the old days" would have been put on a running clock while getting blasted 56-0 by this year's Braves.

Congrats Kupp. One helluva comeback and win. Thank you, happy for the kids and happy DJ will not be known for not winning the big one. One more to go.

FYI: ALL THE CIF FINALS ARE REPLAYING TODAY AND TONIGHT.......... I watched the SJB-MD game even though I was there, wanting to re-confirm my opine on that event... it's a slam dunk re-confirm. Watching Sierra Canyon D2 can't figure out much as Chaminade was a walk on to that game. If San Clemente was playing I would have a real good idea about the outcome of that game. Up at 9:30 is CDM-Grace..., my first chance to watch tape......
