Wow! Tough break for San Clemente. No mention of any other forfeits involved, so maybe this is a player with limited eligibility, brought up from the lower levels for the playoffs?

Maybe its the QB they brought in from LBC?
I read an interesting post somewhere else on this... so Chaminade has kids from all over yet a public can't....?
Alos for the sake of the game let Rancho Verde continue on and play Chaminade that was a 1 possession game in Q4

This is another sick joke of the CIF flexing their girly muscles in an attempt to convince people how vigilant they are. The causes sited in the document were "undue influence" and "pre-enrollment contact". Are you kidding me? If those were grounds for getting kicked from the playoffs, the D-1, D-2 and D-3 brackets would be almost entirely empty.

Heard from several SC parents that he has some family in OC but his parents live in the LBC. One parent in particular was absolutely livid about this transfer and said something along the lines that he bought his way onto the starting lineup by making a 10k donation to the boosters. lol |

On further investigation, I believe the player in question is a senior, who played all year long, and has now been ruled ineligible in all sports for the next 12 months (or more correctly for the remainder of the school year, after which he would in theory be graduated). From that, I would speculate that perhaps it involves his age? Is that possible? Did he just have a birthday after which he was ineligible? |

St Paul had to forfeit for spying on the practices, of their opponent Pioneer HS. Pioneer advanced. What I can't recall, is whether the forfeit occurred before or after their first round game. I'll look into it. |

I hate this issue, but I have to say at the HB 7v7 Tourney I caught wind of two stories I thought odd, yes the QB from LBC going to "One Town One Team'... add to that another player whom was reportedly foreign and could not produce a birth certificate. From multiple sources I heard he was close to 25.
Disclaimer, I do not know if what I heard is true or chatter and speculation but t was a "Topic" that day.

More....: When I read this i see nothing but blame at the school whether coaches, AD, whomever for actively recruiting before enrollment when there are rules against that. This is another reason its time to SEPARATE privates, or those schools whom do not play by these rules from those whom MUST. It's not that hard. After reading this below punching them in the mouth on the field regardless of what they did feels even better.  |

I'll look into it. Yes, according to St.Paul's 1975 yearbook, St. Paul did open the 1974 football playoffs with a 44-8 trouncing of Pioneer HS. So the forfeit came after the game, which is officially recorded as a 1-0 forfeit win for Pioneer. Pioneer HS then was allowed to play round two, losing 37-0 to Newport Harbor. CIF...Let Rancho Verde play in the semi-finals! San Clemente must forfeit that game! |

Agree, RV being last team viable from the damage SC put upon CIF, RV should carry the torch for the rest....

Jealous parent of the other QB. One of these days, Albano and Fryer ought to do a feature on how some parents have gone off the rails, and causing a heck of a lot of coaches to say "enough", and be done with this.
No words for how sickening this is.
