Recruiting another transfer QB this week for next season my have been what pushed the informant over the edge. There is another South County public school guilty of exactly the same violation but as of now no one is pushing the issue. Pre-enrollment contact, what a joke. This other school's head coach posed for photos with a star player that was still enrolled at another high school which were posted on twitter the week before the player transferred to this coach's school.

Undue influence my ass. What parent would move his family from Long Beach to San Clemente, because a guy he was working out with was an asst coach there?

If a family moves to "the town", wouldn't that mean they should be part of "the team"?

You think Costelli might have been influenced to follow Johnson from Bosco to MV? Maybe more so than a family changing residence to follow an asst coach?

I can't recall whether I heard or seen this, but something was mentioned regarding Costelli's dad reaching out to Bad Chad about transferring to MV after last year's SM season and subsequent HC firing. With regard to Mission, I know for a fact that some of the other SM transfers did not relo. One of whom has and still resides in Laguna Beach. I wonder if anyone at MV is losing sleep over this.

They should come clean, take the DQ because their next game would seem like more punishment than a forfeit!

Did he just have a birthday after which he was ineligible? That's not possible. The Blue Book states that any athlete who turns 19 before June 15 of his senior year is ineligible for his entire senior year. If he turns 19 after June 15, he is eligible for his entire senior year. |

This is another reason its time to SEPARATE privates, or those schools whom do not play by these rules from those whom MUST. It's not that hard. For the umpteenth time, the CIF rules against illegal contact, pre-enrollment contact and undue influence ARE THE SAME for public and private schools. If there are reasons for dividing publics and privates into separate divisions, different recruiting rules is not one of them. |

So ya'll admitting everyone is doing "it"...? Not everyone, but almost every school in the top two divisions, and many of the schools in D-3. |

The dad then became the recruiting director for CJ by constantly contacting SM parents and players. The stage dad has his own twitter account which he also used to attract SM players and to send them a "welcome aboard" once players made the move. Nothing will happen because the players displaced by the transfers don't seem to care and the ones that did transferred out to Loyola and Colony. |

That's just it. If no disgruntled parent goes to the admin, who then is pretty much forced to "self-report" to CIF, then it's no harm no foul (or hear no evil, see no evil). |

So a disgruntled parent reported the transfer player and got their team DQ'd and resulted in a forfeited season...wow! Bet that is goin over well...
