BLM crowd (aka Democrats) trespassed into a private neighborhood in St. Louis and this couple came out to defend their property. A little closure on this thread: Gun-waving couple pleads guilty to misdemeanors; forfeit guns
ST. LOUIS – There will be no jail time for Mark and Patricia McCloskey after the St. Louis attorneys entered surprise guilty pleas in a gun waving case that brought them international fame.
The only point of contention in St. Louis court Thursday was what to do with the McCloskeys’ guns.
Mark McCloskey wanted his rifle to be disabled and donated to charity. That’s not happening.
He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault, a misdemeanor. His wife pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment.
They were sentenced to pay the maximum fines: $750 for him, $2,000 for her. The weapons they brandished will be destroyed as a condition of their pleas.
McCloskeys waved and pointed firearms at Black Lives Matter protesters outside their Central West End home in June 2020.
Last year, a grand jury indicted Patricia and her husband Mark McCloskey on felony charges of unlawful use of a weapon and evidence tampering.

You do what you have to do, and sort it all out later. In this case, they got a slap on the wrist, and that's it.

I wonder how many of their neighbors got a "slap on the wrist" like them...oh that's right, their neighbors were smart enough not go outside with guns, and none of them died or had their homes burned to the ground either...I guess the McCloskeys are just smarter than they were.

I Might have missed it, but what happened to the terrorists who over-ran Thais property?

The MCloskeys should have cowered in their house and prayed the mob didn't burn their house down with them in it.

After looking at this gate, maybe he should have run into the bathroom and hid with his wife.

Just a slap on the wrist. That must just frost your balls, Huh? Nope, not at all. From page two of this thread, I wrote: "The people claim that they were threatened and that they feared they would be killed, their house would be burned down, and their pets would be killed. My attitude comes mostly from the fact that I don't believe a word they say. If they were truly afraid they wouldn't have ventured out of their house.
Do I think these idiots should be punished?....No, I think they will be punished enough for their idiocy by the denizens of the Twittersphere."I didn't think they'd be found guilty of a crime, but I do think they were incredibly stupid, and I do think that this type of behavior is not indicative of good judgment on their part.

As it is, they were held up to public ridicule, they paid thousands of dollars in legal fees, they were convicted of crimes, they forfeited two firearms and no doubt some sleep. For what? What did they accomplish that their wiser neighbors didn't accomplish for no cost whatever?

Yes. Their prayers would have been answered and no harm would have befallen them. Maybe in a perfect world. I am not so sure about that Pagan. I have fences and gates for reasons. I park in the garage for a reason. The mob should not have broken down the gate. You would agree with that, right? Or, do you not believe their gate was destroyed?

You would agree with that, right? Or, do you not believe their gate was destroyed? Maybe in St. Louis as well. I'm not sure about it either but since none of the McCloskey's neighbors were murdered in their homes, which also remained unburned-down, I think the evidence supports my position. If you read the thread you'll find out what I think of the gate. Hint: There's video of the protesters walking through an unharmed gate. I don't think that whatever happened to the gate is any excuse for the behavior we witnessed from the McCloskeys. They were foolish and paid a price for their foolishness.

The mob didn't leave until the McCloskey's came out. And then they all disbanded. As per the gate - that is evidence they were not peaceful. Some might say that destroying other people's property is peaceful.

Some might say that destroying other people's property is peaceful. Utter nonsense. The protesters were walking past the McCloskey's house on their way to see the mayor. They didn't "disband" because of the McCloskeys or their threats. If you knew who destroyed the gate and when you might have a point, as it is you do not.

They destroyed property. A least it was only a gate.
