The argument that a few thousand men without an air force and tanks could defeat a much more powerful army is now over. The Afghanistans did it twice. Thats why they don't want us to have guns.

Remember the last time we tried to fight a Guerrilla war? The only difference here being religious zealots and caves.

LAST time, we tried to fight a conventional war against guerrillas. THIS time, we did prepare for a desert war and pieces of a guerrilla war, but didn't quite turn the corner. AND the Viet Song had caves, too... |

Those who advocate for a repeal of the 2nd amendment should realize that making good people helpless will not make bad people harmless.

It's just another attempt to make gun control look stupid by portraying it in a stupid way. I know of no person, group, or organization, who is advocating for a repeal of the Second Amendment, but I do know many people and groups who advocate for reasonable gun control legislation....but that's harder to argue against so you just make up an argument that's easier to refute. Congrats on your cleverness. |

The Afghanis had RPG's, machine guns, and all the explosives they could get their hands on...but yeah, it's just like here. BTW, the Afghanis didn't defeat our "much more powerful" army, they just refused to be defeated by it...big difference. |

Yeah, they don't care about that: Anti-gun crazies generally fall into one of two groups: - Politicians and other elites with an agenda that has nothing to do with citizen safety; and
- Drones who care only about parroting the headlines (who also care very little about citizen safety).
That's why real, rational people cannot argue against these fools: They don't believe it WILL make bad people harmless... because they don't care about that, anyway.

It just seems like they are left (I mean wrong) on everything. The Second Amendment and this story is a perfect example. The Constitution doesn't provide the amendment for self defense, but don't tell a lefty that. But self defense is another reason it is there.

It's pretty clear (to me) there is a very large % of the population that isn't much interested in what this country was founded upon, and wants to change it.
Funny thing is, whenever I've engaged in a conversation with one of them about a national divorce, it's pretty much crickets. Why do you think that is?
