It is more important to look good before a single game is played, to recruit players who are voted to be great players before they ever accomplish anything and to be the preseason favorites than it is to actually win a championship. His taunts to those who don’t like him are on the list. His tweets are definitely on the list. Just for starters. i cannot argue he doesn’t have some outrageous moments, but I don’t give him a bye because everyone is attacking him. That is what the democrats do, it’s most of their entire political strategy. Just put on his big-boy pants and move on. Why is there no criticism about those who taunt Trump? The criticism about Trump comes from both sides. Is he supposed to ignore all the lies said about him? There's plenty of criticism about those who attack trump. Trump should stay above the crap, and let the others roll around in it if they choose. |

Not sure why this convo is in the Amy Coney Barrett thread, but whatever... Trump SHOULD fly above the crap. It would certainly make re-election simpler. But when has he ever. He was puerile and arrogant before he ran, puerile and arrogant when he was elected, and shows no signs of NOT being puerile and arrogant now. Obviously not a politician and definitely not “presidential,” whatever that is... but Trump is being Trump. i do not excuse his behavior, but until he stops providing all this benefit to the U.S., I do overlook it. |

A video of Barrett's showing so far should be must viewing for all future nominees for the Court. She is outstanding -- knowledgeable, funny, honest, sincere, humble, personable, mild-mannered, in control, direct. You name it, she's the prototype for the future.
