Not state government, but from ...and an embarrassment to... Illinois: Dickless Durbin and Tammy Duckworthless: In 2017, Duckworth demanded the Senate preserve the Filibuster rule (at a time when republicans were threatening it. In 2018, Durbin also staunchly advocated preserving it. Today, both advocate abandoning it but just for these two votes. I advocate an "immediate removal of representatives who embarrass then state" rule. Filibuster Flip-Floppers Duckworth and Durbin

I advocate an "immediate removal of representatives who embarrass then state" rule. That may sound good on paper, but you can't run a country with a congress that has a 200% turnover rate every week.

Im putting this here as inspiration, sign of hope for other worst run states. Virginia has done what appears like a 180 in one election. Youngkin is reversing some of the biggest progressive policies in the state on day one by executive orders. Nothing stays the same forever, just matters if you are around to see it...

My Virginia friends celebrated Northam's last day in office yesterday. Much like you fellows and your Illinois connections will celebrate on Newsom's/Pritzker's last day as Governor.
Unfortunately, I'm starting to see Prick'ster re-election ads so ours might be a while in coming.

As our governor, Newsom is one of one. As a senator, he'd just be one of a hundred and lost in the noise. I'd make that trade all day long.

Queen Nancy is preparing him. If any seat comes open before an election, he gets to appoint the replacement...So I'm not sure Feinstein will retire at the end of her term, but will likely pull the plug before that.. Queen Nancy rigged your recall election for him to survive so he CAN name himself.

How did Nancy Pelosi "rig" the Newsom recall election? I think Gavin Newsom is a total POS, but the way he was able to change the election from a referendum on his performance to a contest between poor little Gavin and big bad Donald Trump was politically genius.

Well, I think it was rather curious that within 45 minutes of the polls closing, Gavin was announced the winner. And that was that.

That's mostly because it was a landslide.

I don't know HOW they did it... and us knowing how is irrelevant, I am sure THAT they did.

Dave, you can't be SURE unless you know how they did it. You're belief is based on what you want to be true, not on empirical evidence.
