It was a great start for the Sunset League with NH winning in Hawaii to make the league a perfect 6-0 on opening nigh, Friday Night Lights.

2 programs going in opposite directions. FV beat them 14-6 last year. Hearing good things about Coach Gutierrez and the Barons. Good test for them the next couple weeks.

Yes, heading up tomorrow to Paso Robles for some wine tasting and dinner, will head to Los Gatos on Friday. Staying in Palo Alto to see my sister and family on the weekend. You traveling with team?

Not traveling... ESPN didn't hire us. If you like Zin, check out Peachy Canyon, and there's a really cool little winery in Harmony on Hwy 1 that has some award winning, unpretentious wines. Damn no place for you in the press box, how on earth are you going to get that NIL celebrity podcast money! Thnx 4 recommendations, we are members at Thacher, Kukula and Calcareous, all AWESOME. Paso is getting real swanky now, billions going in there. Rivaling Napa/Sonoma. Good Luck in Florida..... seems a close one on paper, Calpreps gives you a big power rating advantage. I read they have a first year coach and looked good against a good team in week 0 from Georgia. |

American Heritage is legit.
Mobile QB
6'2 225 RB
5* WR Brandon Inniss.
Very balanced, and they've got dudes in the secondary. Should be a good game

TA hardship still pending. Damian played pretty well after losing a fumble in the early going. I was wrong about it being a good game. We have no answer v. strong private school running teams as Bosco and now Am Heritage put up over 500 on the ground v. us. What happened to just tagging a guy, and he'd be down like 7v7?? Big gap between us and private schools in the trenches. I saw someone suggest a better matchup would've been between publics Allen and Los Al, and Am Heritage and Bosco. I agree. We'll see how we do v. a good public school from AZ on Sat before taking on 2 more private schools this year. |

I still think Los Al is a pretty good team, but they were dominated. The game was not as close as the final score. I agree that Los Al is significantly outmanned in the trenches against the top teams. I will never understand the mentality of let’s get all the sexy skill players. At the highest level, games are won and lost by the Big Uglies. |

I'm pretty sure every public school coach understands you win in the trenches. Getting / keeping those guys is a whole other animal.
Am Heritage was really good in coverage also. Only Lemon was getting anything that resembled separation downfield.
