Bick, every Thursday afternoon the CdM JV parents have a champagne, brie and caviar tasting brunch at Pelican Hill. If you guys had done your homework, you would have known that.

Who the hell plays JV games on Friday? Just so you know, alot of thew schedule changes and weird days and start times are due to the fact that we don't have enough officials to do all the games on some days. Many of the changes come at the request of our association so we can get the games covered. There are constant cancellations and we're having to juggle guys around. With the advent of all the after-school flag leagues, some guys would rather do that instead of tackle football. Last week I had 6 games over four days (Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat). Covid decimated us and the lingering bad taste of ignorant parents and fans keep younger officials away. I had CdM/FV Friday before I had to go my varsity game at Uni. Double headers aren't much fun. |

OK, I didn't do very well picking games last week, but here are my thoughts on Edison v Los Al. Los Al's ranking is in the 40's nationwide while Edison is in the 80s, although league wise Edison is on top with no losses. I have watched and read more about Los Al than Edison. Great QB and defense at Los Al - so it appears to me. But my first instinct it to pick Edison, even though I don't know as much about their team. Any thought on Edison?

Edison defense has played very well this season, and they've got a strong passing game. All but one of their wins are against teams with winning records.
They should be favored in this game.

That is what I was thinking. The rankings go back to last year, so despite being ranked way higher, personally I think Edison will win the game.
