And he's just getting started! Always a good feeling when you know you have two more seasons to watch a great story unfold at your alma mater!

And he's just getting started! Always a good feeling when you know you have two more seasons to watch a great story unfold at your alma mater! Yes and no. The frustration for many of the top Southern Section teams like Centennial, Mission Viejo, Servite, Bishop Amat, and a handful of others is that--no matter how much they continue to improve--there is almost no chance they can break into the CIF title game, much less win the whole thing. At least those other schools can enjoy the consolation of winning their respective leagues. I fear Servite is looking at no better than a solid 3rd place in the Trinity League for the next two years. While we may have reached peak talent this year at Bosco and Mater Dei, the drop-off is not going to be significant.

Bosco and Mater Dei have had the luxury of having arguably the two best high school quarterbacks in the country lead their teams for the last two years. Both are gone after this year, and neither team has a stud replacement behind them. Furthermore, the pool of potential transfers are nowhere near D.J. and Bryce in ability. Until that picture is resolved, it's premature to say the best any team can hope for is third place in league.

MDDad is on point, at the conclusion of this season it is Servite sitting with the best QB in Trinity until further notice or reload....

Until that picture is resolved, it's premature to say the best any team can hope for is third place in league. If it were only so. The QB is only one of 22 starters on both sides of the ball. We already established some time ago that no more than two players from the combined rosters of Servite, JSerra, Orange Lutheran, and Santa Margarita could even crack the starting lineup of either Mater Dei or St. John Bosco. Those two teams could do nothing but run the ball and still beat every other team--that's how much talent they have accumulated up and down the rosters. They no longer need transfers--they uber talented kids coming in today as freshman are enough to keep the Big Two on top of the Trinity League for the foreseeable future. They have long since crossed the Rubicon of being Football Factory "National" programs. Four years now they have only lost to each other--not even Corona Centennial is competitive with them anymore. Southern Section teams that might have been CIF title contenders a decade ago are defeated by 40+ points. Nationally ranked teams from outside the state were summarily humiliated by the Monarchs and Braves this season. It's a joke and there's no voluntarily going back.

Can you please show me exactly where and when "we" established that, because at first glance I think that's baloney.

The only kids that were identified were one singe OL from JSerra and maybe WR Tetairoa McMillan of Servite. Can you name any other kids from Servite, JSerra, OLU, or SM that could break the starting lineup for either Mater Dei or Bosco?

I just hope Mater Dei and Bosco have the confidence to let the next kid currently in line in their respective programs step up to start at QB next year.
