While you're being so generous, MDDad, can you send over a few big OL kids to us?

A Mater Dei partisan whining about “poached” HSFB players is like Mark Zuckerberg whining about his lack of privacy.............Luca

Professor, is that Jeminai Leuta-Ulu? You know, another kid you recruited and poached from Mater Dei? Why yes...and this will be his 3rd season at Servite. He is very well appreciated and loved by Servite. It appears that Mater Dei didn't appreciate him, judging by these posts from Sweetness34. And another from Sweetness34 showing a lack of appreciation for Jeminai And yet another one. At Servite, on the other hand, he has become a multi-year starter, has a 3 star rating from "247 Sports" and has four D1 offers. He's also a championship Rugby player and a darn good discus/shot putter for Servite. AND...he can dance!

AND you poached him, in a package deal with his brother and Raymond Leutele. As you also did with Titus Toler, Trent McDuffie, Luca deLancellotti and Jack Kane. If you enjoy using the word "poach", sooner or later it will circle back around to bite you in the ass.

If you enjoy using the word "poach", sooner or later it will circle back around to bite you in the ass. In fairness to the Leuta-Ulu brothers, their older brother Jotavi started at Servite from 2011-2013 before transferring in the spring of 2014, so there were Servite ties already. isubengals.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=4953We all know what happened with Toler and McDuffie, so perhaps a "what goes around comes around" in those cases is fitting. At the risk of resurrecting an old argument form TOB, none of the above players ever started a single varsity game for Mater Dei. Neither would have the Leuta-Ulus, nor de Lancellotti, nor Kane started any games for MD if they had stayed. When you're bringing in as much talent as the Monarchs have been for some time now, some kids who would have started 10 years ago but can't touch the field today are going to find a place where they have a chance. And all of those were/are good kids as well. What's interesting in all the pinballing of players between Trinity League schools in recent years, I cannot recall a single instance of a direct transfer between Bosco and Mater Dei. This makes some sense in that such a transfer would be considered a "lateral move." What would be gained? I wonder also if there is a gentleman's agreement not to go after each other's players?

CB Mykal Tolliver and DL Sivea Vito-Logoleo were Mater Dei players who transferred to Bosco in the last few years and played big roles with the Braves. A handful of Bosco players have inquired about moving to Mater Dei, but all changed their minds when they learned they wouldn't get the same "financial considerations" as Monarchs. For some, the cheapest deal is the deciding factor.

Did MD get the Narbonne RB? MD got a Narbonne RB. Junior-to-be Marceese Yetts has been at the school since last Monday. He's smallish with a lot of potential, but he was not the leading rusher at Narbonne last year, and played sparingly the last seven games of the season.

We had a Narbonne player recently show up at Los Al also. Good size DT with an offer or 2. I don't think it turned out to be a mutual fit though. My guess is we'll be reading about more Narbonne defections as we get closer to the season.
