Kudos to those who have been able to resist the indoctrination camps of the left. I suppose that would include all of us who defected from TOB, on a somewhat smaller scale.  Well, some of us defected. Others were helped out with a boot in the ass. You rang? |

I’m thinking I might have led that charge... of the “Booted out on my ass” brigade. I can't remember who he kicked out first, you or I. I remember sending you & Ron a copy of the PM that ParrotPaul had intended to send to JQP, but inadvertently sent to me instead (he apparently was in a drunken stupor). Revealing that PM's contents led to JQP banning me. However, I also remember giving Vilepagan a hard time about how he looked like "My Favorite Gay Martian" in his profile picture, and VP was involved in your ban, so you may have gone first. Then again, I snuck back in a couple of times using a proxy server and fake names, so I may have timelines all mixed up.  |

In 2018 Dennis Prager published on the American Greatness website a series of brief articles on "Explaining the Left". Here is Part II, which looks at one of the hallmarks of Leftist ideology: contempt for America. I highly recommend this series as a key to clearly understanding the Liberal (Leftist) Mindset.

How about this, then, for our purposes here? - Democrat or Moderate Democrat: Member of the Democrat Party who believes in bigger government
- Liberal: Probably a democrat, but not necessarily so. Believes Big Government is “the” solution to all social issues,
- Leftist: A socialist economically and culturally. Believes in government control of all, and in government by the elite few.

- Liberal: Probably a democrat, but not necessarily so. Believes Big Government is “the” solution to all social issues,
- Leftist: A socialist economically and culturally. Believes in government control of all, and in government by the elite few.
I think the moderate democrat wants expanded social services / environmental clean-up more so than conferred "rights" / outrage as you get further left. I can engage in conversations about expanded social services and a clean environment, but pretty much slam the door when "rights" and outrage come into play. Frankly, it makes for a healthy country when you have environmental and social forces pushing back against pure capitalism. Both should have a healthy respect for each other. I believe a liberal wades deeper into the "rights" pool. Leftists want a different country. |
