Former Los Al quarterbacks are 22-2 this year. Probably going to end up 28-2.

Credo, it's like this now, the new era, or lets see, the expanded bigger better further reaching version of the old era. Per Bruce Bible, "Los Al doesn’t recruit we run a good program and people show up." If you read between the lines, we don't make illegal contact, we don't have to, they simply show up. There are obviously many reasons why, from coaching, relationships with other off season or off campus organizations and leagues to logistics. If all within the rules et by CIF so be it. However, you can't run from this part of the statement, "...people show up". By this fact, you or one can only conclude, kids, parents are not exactly showing up from within the neighborhood. I think Mission Viejo has been able to use this as well from coaching to favorable logistics in South County. Did I add that Bick was fine man? Good grief. Yes, kids want to go to a school that's in their best interests. If they want to transfer, they have to move into the district. We don't offer scholarships or free rent or have a van that transports kids to and from school. We get and lose 3-6 kids each year since I've been there. The ones who think it's better elsewhere move on, and we'll hold the door open for then and wish them success. Credo knows what I'm talking about. Despite 7 guys and 4 coaches randomly deciding to leave Los Al and enroll at Servite at the same time, we remain friends with them, and were supportive of them thru last year. It's really offensive to read guys calling us out with baseless innuendo for something nefarious when we're having success. No one had anything to say when we were 4-7 in 2019. Sunset League Realities.......my obs form the inside over last 20 years Los Al getting kids from the other side of the river, same thing Barnes did in 90’s and 00’s....until dumbass School District turned off that tap at the end of Barnes career.. Edison gets 90% best players from HB, FV, CM, and occasionally NH and GG....it’s an open district,,but is smallest school in district without counting SPED,,,, then relies off of Trinity bounce backs HB loses players to Edison, but gets kids from OV and Marina....TGonzales is only exception Edison to HB,,, FV loses kids from Talbert MS to Ed....Edison’s best players in 2016 CIF champ, were all FV home kids,,,,OL and a few WR/DB types NH is too small population without open district, loses CM kids to Edison CDM is another Trinity bounce back destination And also, Marina’s best teams got a ton of kids from Westy.....

Please define further "Bounce Back"...? As in a Newport/CDM kid going to MD to only return? And what % while you are at it does that constitute the present team or any previous team for that matter? If NH is too small a "population" then what does that make CDM? In terms of "small"?

Trinity Bounce Back definition via Webster American dictionary-
Local home skool kid that gets recruited by the glory of playing for a Trinity league team, with no money, but carpool van that meets at 545AM for weightlifting. Returning home in the afternoon/evening means a OCTA pass down Magnolia/Brookhurst with a transfer. Then after your glorious year as a frosh on the OC/LB/LA all star team, you realize you are #6 on the Varsity depth chart, and the kids they recruited in the class behind you will start over you, you decide your Trinity career is over, and go back to your local “open district” school. Soon you find out that they are just as good as you, except not as deep as your former Trinity school. You have a great career, but realize you are just a good HS player, but with a better GPA you could have gone to IVY League school with your non-Trinity peers.
2-3 bounce backs per year to bounce back schools
As far as difference of personality between NH and CDM players/program mentality
NH- Old skool mentality, grind it out Usually solid up front Slow Big banging RB Adequate QB Pick on worst DB Biggest factor of losing CM kids to Edison——-Edison kids run by slow NH DB NH has not beaten Ed since the 70s (longer than streak vs FV)
CDM Rich Kids That expect to win Cocky (see above) Hot moms Land rovers Get generational kids and roll(really it’s just a QB and WR) Smallest DL using quicks Hot moms Rich dads that own a “rental” condo on a 4 month lease And Trinity bounce backs that live in those condos lol

Hot CDM Moms meet Tars under stands after game. Blackies lock out CDM fans. CDM booster party serves wine and disco water. NH booster party keg beer and rum. Newport Harbor. The Flagship of the Sunset League. Max coming to town.

Fun stuff...
I've always wondered why Max called Newport the flagship of the Sunset. I miss that guy and the back and forth with Wil-E Wolverine.

Of the 6 starting QB's in the Sunset League, only 2 have been there since their freshman year.
Know who they are, SK80?

That's a more real moniker.
Someone mentioned on Twitter that we're set up to dominate the Sunset for the next 3 years. I think we just had a generational team.
Case in point, we're recognizing the 20 yr anniversary of the '02 D1 championship team on Friday. I think that was the last time MD & Los Al were ranked 1-2 in the county.

No need for false modesty--and that someone was me. There will likely be a coming-down-to-earth from this year's team, but with the stud freshman QB and other freshman All-American kids from Long Beach on the roster the Griffins will be on top of the Sunset League for the foreseeable future. Those O.C. kids at Edison, HB, FV, NH, and CdM just cannot compete with that.

Not modesty. Just respecting your privacy here Credo.
Like you guys had last year, and CDM in 2019, we've got a generational team... Something Los Al has not had in 20 years. There's no guarantee some, or all of the freshman class, doesn't get lured away AGAIN to a parochial school.
We'll enjoy the rest of this year for however long it lasts, and see what happens next year.
It seems like the real issue here is that some of those OC Buckeyes kids, including Noah's little brother, have enrolled at Mater Dei, Los Al and other places instead of Servite. You guys have a falling out?
